What can you as an artist or gig organiser do to support grassroots venues and include Deaf and disabled people at your shows?
Did you know that there are 13.3 million disabled people in the UK? More than 3.6m of them attended a live music event last year, but disabled music fans are often faced with limited local gig choices due to a lack of basic information and access barriers that could be easily overcome. To launch their new guide for gig organisers, bands and artists, live music accessibility charity Attitude is Everything will curate a unique panel discussion to shine a light on the untapped potential of Deaf and disabled audiences and artists in the grassroots music scene. Learn about the simple (and free!) changes that all event organisers can implement to maximise inclusivity at their shows, and how to join the charity’s campaign to make #MusicWithoutBarriers.
Speakers: Suzanne Bull MBE (CEO) - Attitude is Everything,
Hannah McKeamen - Music Blogger,
Robert Maddison - Musician & Producer,
Richard Phoenix - Constant Flux.
